Here is what happened at ALTERNATE on the third of February: Together with our customers we celebrated a milestone birthday, specifically, the twentieth anniversary of the official opening of ALTERNATE. The celebration was literally a "full" success: More than twice as many visitors as usual looked through the German online shop during our Jubilee. And around 2000 customers personally visited both Linden retail shops, where a rolled-out red carpet, festive decorations and courtesy sparkling wine waited for them.

Of course, sparkling wine was not the only thing we provided for our customers to celebrate the day: In addition, there was a 20 percent Jubilee discount on products from several manufacturers, including Asus, Canton, Logitech, LG, Microsoft and Samsung. Also on sale: A limited edition ALTERNATE anniversary PC (with Intel Core i5 2500K CPU, eight GB of DDR3 RAM, GTX 560 Ti graphics card and Gigabit port included, and, oh yes, priced 200 euros cheaper than buying each of the individual components separately).
